Staff

Wrestling has been an integral part of Coach Rivera's life since his initial practice in 7th grade. He values community engagement and contributes through coaching. Over the past 25 years, he has coached various youth sports. Along with coaching Razorback Wrestling, he also coaches the Hollister High School J.V. wrestling team.

Coach Koester has over 50 years of experience and was one of the original Razorback coaches when it was founded in 1980. Coach Koester has coached all levels of wrestling from young kids to college. He has coached 13 CCS section championship teams and has coached numerous State and National champions and medalist.

Coach Mikey has been involved in the sport of wrestling as a competitor, coach, and fan for 28 years. Coach Mikey competed for and now coaches at Hollister Razorbacks. He also teaches and coaches the girls team at Hollister High School.

Coach Esteban Salcedo has been coaching the Razorbacks since he graduated from San Benito High School in 2002. He has been a Special Education teacher and coach at Hollister High School since 2010. He is currently the head wrestling coach for Hollister High School.

Coach Josh loves wrestling and believes the sport truly pushes an athlete to their potential. Coach Josh started coaching locally in 2015. He hopes that we can develop a local Baler into a State CHAMP. He now works at Gavilan College and is pushing for a Gavilan college wrestling team.
